nobilia North America Sponsors Inaugural NKBA North American Buyers Tour in Germany

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) hosted its first North American Buyers Tour at the German Haus Fair, officially called Kuchenmeile, September 20-24,2022.  During the period September 17-23, German kitchen manufacturers hosted their annual open house in factories and showrooms for buyers from all over the world.

Collaborating with NKBA Global Connect strategic partners, AMK (German Kitchen Manufacturer’s Association) and VDM (German Furniture Manufacturer’s Association), the NKBA developed a comprehensive VIP tour for North American buyers including prominent principals of NKBA member design studios, kitchen and bath dealer and decorative finish, fixture and appliance showrooms.

The tour included visits to four sponsoring NKBA member brands in which nobilia participated as one of those four sponsors.

The North American Buyers were met by nobilia VIP’s at the nobilia Open House Exhibition 2022: Ready to Create!

The open house showcased 138 designs across 54,000 square feet where more than 10,000 visitors from all over the world.

nobilia’s open house offered plenty of inspiration for holistic and individual living and planning concepts, innovative new products as well as effective, targeted marketing support and eCommerce solutions for retailers.

The exhibition included individual concepts for the kitchen, bathroom and living product areas. A total of 138 designs showcase the unique breadth of options available in the new collection: 52 kitchens, 4 utility rooms, 50 bathrooms, 24 living and dining solutions, 3 wardrobes, 3 dressing rooms, and 2 office solutions offer plenty of inspiration for the entire home.

The North American buyers started the tour through the nobilia factory. Here they were able to see first-hand experience at how the nobilia products are created, manufactured, and boxed up for shipping.

Followed by the factory tour, the North American buyers toured through the nobilia showroom in the kitchen segment which included sophisticated presentations of our new kitchen features to the “World Kitchens” area where kitchens typical of different countries are presented on floor plan formats suitable for everyday use.

Throughout the showroom tour, nobilia’s 2023 collection featured prominently, aligning with the theme, “individualism of tomorrow.” The new grid system represents optimized and flexible ergonomics and storage solutions for planning and design, along with enabling a new level of consistency in layout alignment. 2023 brings new fronts, exciting decor, and colors as well as innovative elements for the kitchen, bathroom, and living room!

The North American Buyers were able to see, touch, and feel the new collections throughout the showroom.

Natural looks are a trend in interior design, which is one reason the new Bergamo oak was a popular vignette in the showroom. Its light grey component, vertical gradient, simple grain, and authentic tactile feeling make it unmistakable. Styling tip: Bergamo oak harmonizes perfectly with our new features in taupe grey and basalt, but it also matches perfectly with the new ultra matt Easytouch surface in white.

Senso in premium matte sets itself apart completely from other surfaces in terms of look and feel. The special anti-fingerprint coating of this lacquered cabinetry reduces annoying fingerprints, which helps reduce the cleaning effort. The velvety-warm surface invites users to experience the feeling of touch.

But the showstopper on the tour was the new Cascada cottage style in the Nordic-inspired fjord blue. This color already celebrated its successful début last year with Easytouch. With its calming effect, fjord blue is a rich new addition to the cottage-style segment. An advantage for planning: complete color looks and modern combinations comprising frame fronts and straight fronts are now easy to implement. The perfect addition: Pilasters and crowns that integrate harmonically and set stylish accents.
